No, I don't. I like both characters for what they are. The Sonic Union AU document is itself unfinished (and the version posted in this thread was leaked...) and that does not reflect my current opinions about either character. Furthermore, that document was also made in collaboration with my friend and fellow writer Clementine.
I was being a bit disingenuous with those comments and expressing my frustration with how those characters are written. But honestly? That's more an issue of Flynn's writing than anything. Both Amy and Tails can work together in SEGASonic media and I'm excited to see Amy introduced in Blade of Courage (a manga I am thoroughly enjoying so far, especially their depiction of Tails and his tight knit bond with Sonic).
Sonic Union is meant to be an AU like Boom for fun, a setting people can make fan projects in if they want (and one I can make a fan comic and potentially rom hack/fan game for), not to 'replace Sonic the Hedgehog'.
