Is that the three position? I can't see shit in there and I certainly don't see how the BCG forces the reset. Thanks though lol
> The 3 position is a lot more complex with more springs and moving parts. The hammer is still forcing reset but it's a bit thinner to accommodate the disconnector for regular semi.
Okay good to know, so should be stronger than the Atrius/SS lever then in terms of forcing the reset?
>On first gen frt it's somewhat easy to do and ends with a dead trigger, though I don't think really damages anything.
With an SS it's a bit harder to do since the lever adds so much torque to the safety but is possible. If you squeeze hard enough it will fail to fully cycle though you will have a live trigger (since the hammer is reset early in the bcg travel). I assume this puts extra stress on the lever of you full jam it up this way, though the lever hasn't shown any visible bending/cracking from the couple times I did it.
Interesting.

We need to get someone who has time on both an Cassette FRT and an SS and who can speak to which resets "stronger". Whichever design resets stronger IMO is the route to go, assuming the parts are strong enough to transfer the force via leverage.

Sorta as we've been saying all thread, Atrius needs to strengthen their lever, probably both using geometry and material.

Right because as we pursue the best simulation of FA fire, we would like to be able to squeeze the trigger to the rear as hard as possible, as one can on a real MG, and to still have the gun cycle reliably as intended. To me this means we actually would prefer the longer lever arm of the SS design, but just combine it with enough system gas/energy and strong enough materials that it all rocks and continues to rock without breaking.

Ahh thank you good find, I think I see it, the hammer as it is pushed back and down by the BCG forces the reset of the trigger by contact at point 51/58

That seems like less leverage than a SS?
