He almost never does. The only time he directly helped was when something that specifically tackled his trauma happened, and he wanted to make it stop. Plus the company clearly has some level of foreknowledge, and they need the sinners to overcome stuff and activate the boughs.

He should be fine in MD where you want as many coins as possible to trigger rupture, but outside of it stacking rupture with him is gonna be a little worse, since he's count negative on everything

-2 on S1, -1 on S2, -2 with bloodflame or low HP
-3 on S3. And that's assuming heads hit on 3rd coin of S1 and first two coins of S2, otherwise it's -3 S1 and -3 or -4 S2.
Plus, his base EGO passive is fucking garbage, -5SP if you land anything but straight heads or tails.
Even Xichunmael has better use in a team to maintain count than him without clashing. Horse Sang will probably shine way harder, for content outside of MD, especially with dimension shedder.

Otherwise again, he'll probably be the better MD unit for a rupture farming team.
