Are you properly using Faust's assist defense status?

I don't get the hate to the new IDs. Weisang outdamaged Mao Faust on the snake fights thanks to his meaty AOE (Mao Faust was first deployed btw). And in the Wei fight Xichunmael did 2nd highest damage thanks to the extra S3 use which did over 200 damage. Haven't used Cockclair much but he seems pretty good too.

I'm pretty sure everyone including Don managed to get onto the field, but I'm also pretty sure I wouldn't have lost maybe more than a single sinner if I had bothered to double check I wasn't clashing the wrong sinner against his AoE. I ate shit like right before the break bar, Hongers happened to hit his 1 hp meme and sent a bunch of free attacks onto Horsewei before bursting into treats, but I doubt that can really be planned for. Having Xichunmael retreat so Yi Sang can pop open his Fox Umbrella could help block out some damage.
tl;dr use your defensive skills early as needed, it's not the end of the world if they fail to block damage since they still get the heishou stacks, and don't neglect maost's ability to cover a single unopposed attack (on someone besides herself)

Just so you know. The animation on the finisher against the final boss changes if you managed to get Xichun at +800 on all stats, and mastering passives from the rest.

Instead of having him push her aside, and take one last swig of his bottle, she perfectly parries him, and then delivers a bunch of precise blows to him, before rushing through him as characters appear on screen and he gets put down. I saw it as kind of a merciful faster death, and honorable one, instead of letting the poison from Si slowly consume him, and she delivers a small blow to make the poison affect him.
