You guys didn't understand the show. One of the main themes, arguably THE main theme, is incredibly, simple, but also apparently just not understood by most people, and looking at modern world politics it seems most of the world doesn't understand it, and I'd say not understanding it is one of the root causes of a majority of horrible war crimes throughout all of human history.

There are ALWAYS good innocent people on both sides. All of this childish us vs them eye for an eye crap just means that those innocent people get hurt over and over again in cycles forever. We want to believe that war is simple and everyone on the enemy side supports the bad guys and deserves what they get but we only want to believe that because it's easy and we're afraid of accepting how complicated the world really is.
