Because if you played the game you would know the only relative Pauline mentions is her grandma, over and over, who never shows up, and if you knew about DK in general you would know that Miyamoto would never let people change the setting of the first game, OG DK kidnapping Pauline. No jumpman or Lady shit, the canon is DK (now cranky) kidnapping Pauline. Now if you can't make the connection between Cranky's grandson and Pauline's granddaughter making amends then you should check the water.
