He's a traditional "Demon King" villain, clearly homage to Bowser, which in a Sonic game is cool to me, he just gives me vibes to King Piccolo. Where as Eggman is your traditional Mad Scientist villain, he's a traditional Monster who's more reliant on brute strength while also not being stupid

tldr, he's homage to Bowser, and I think that's neat to have in Sonic games, its not like they make him a recurring main villain, he's just another character in a multiplayer game
