You know what I mean. The Deadly Six are just his immediate subordinates. But in order for Sonic to have stages to run through filled with enemies, Zavok (and all Zeti's) entire deal is they mind control robots to work for them instead of Eggman.

Now, if Sega cared enough about lore, they could have them mind control GUN robots instead, because GUN aren't bad guys. But Sega fucking HATES continuity, and GUN. So it's basically out the window.

Zavok is amazing in the comics, and that's where the writing for SRC is coming from. Let him do his thing.

In lost world he's shit but in the comic (i don't like IDW but credit where its due since he's written like this in the game now too), he's an effective calm and composed leader that stands by his clan despite being ruthless .
He also is actually intelligent in the comic utilising his assets (like that crossover) and actually supports them like he does with starline and raises them higher.

The only issue I have with the metarex is that they are just more machines that ultimately take away Eggman's niche.
In Season 3 I always found it dumb and disappointing how Eggman always seemed to be the weakest faction without Shadow babysitting them give that all of them are reliant on technology and that's his one thing. Eggman should have been running circles around everyone but was who most lagged behind.
Bring back the metarex or do something similar but make them reliant on some other power. If the zeti didn't have such retarded teletubby like designs and writting some actual demon thing could work, which is what we essentially had with Black Doom and Mephiles- they are basically demons in terms of aesthetics and powers, even if one was an alien and the other is some broken god science project.
