>he's incredibly friendly and sweet and comes right up to me

>alarmingly fucking skinny, shockingly skinny, I dont even know how he's alive
>pet for a little while then immediately head home to get food
>bring food back, he's sitting on the exact spot I left him still 15 minutes later
>he eats while I call around shelters
>everyone is closed or doesnt take cats
>one shelter agrees to post pictures and look around for fosters, but wont come get him
>cat has barely eaten any food, just licked the gravy and left the food
>so it probably has worms and who knows what else
>give him any comfort I can, but eventually have to leave him
I'm fucking tore up. This fucking sucks. That cat was SO sweet, he deserves a good home. Fuck this world. I'm going to play ironeye into the dogs and disassociate until this doesn't feel so fucked anymore.
