i drown myself in alcohol until the room is spinning to escape my thoughts, but i only yearn more
i down cough syrup by the bottle to evade the yearning, only to wake floating in an ocean of my own vomit
i take a handful of adderall until my heart is pumping out of my chest and my mind is racing a million miles an hour, and in the midst of my high i convince myself even for a moment that i've overcome my yearning
but the next day, i wake up like a ball of yarn, curled up far beneath my blankets, my mind psychologically unraveling, yearning and yearning and yearning.
i'm so tired of yearning.

Installing Debian today. I'll let you know how it goes.
So far, the only bad/confusing thing has been finding the right image file. They do not do a good job explaining what each image file is. The "manifest" they say is supposed to explain what each image does hardly goes into any detail and leaves a lot of lingo/acronyms in the mirror directory unexplained.
And the "netinst" image that supposedly installs the minimal base system and then downloads the rest from the net wasn't even in the mirror but instead linked out from a random nested help page. There was a folder in the mirror with several versions of "netboot". But are those the same as "netinst"? Who the fuck knows??? The installation guide also said normal installations have multiple CD isos with GBs of data, but the downloadable CD isos seem to be mutually exclusive one-off versions consisting of about 100MB or less total.
