>snes TNG game
>I think I remember that one. It was a sort of a flight/dogfight simulator right? Good one. Other pretty good ones
That was the starfleet academy game. The TNG game has top down dogfights where you get penalized for destroying enemy ships, you're supposed to widdle their health down until they hail you to surrender, and the longer portions of the game are spent managing top down away team missions, where people like Data can go to areas without oxygen, geordi can see in the dark, Crusher can heal, worf is the tankiest, bridge officers can have other characters follow them etc. You can even beam down a bunch of no name ensigns. In-between dogfights and away missions you are on the bridge managing repairs and destinations and accessing info through the ships computer. Starfleet academy is a more robust simulator of a bunch of historical missions and has 97 remake on PC that's more palatable then the starfox type graphics in the 94 game. The TNG game is a really faithful console game but the 25th anniversary PC point and click is probably the best remembered from the nineties.
