I can kinda understand why some people would claim that Gen IV was the peak - it was the generation where we could finally trade and battle online, and while some designs were really shitty (Magmortar, Rhyperior), they finally turned some pokémon actually viable by giving them evolutions - and some of them looked really good, like Weavile. Gen IV also was where we also got what might be the best Pokémon spinoff, Explorers of Sky.

Digimon World 3 has a special place in my heart. Can't explain it, it's a shit game in every metric you can think of, the grind is infernal, the 3D graphics are disgusting, there's no fast travel, there's a fuckton of backtracking, there's no way to avoid random encounters and you'll get them in every single area that isn't a city, but I love it.

7 is pretty much a apology for 6 and the consensus is that it's the sequel 5 should have had in the first place. It brings back weapon skills, not only it brings back the classes that were cut off in 6 but also brings back classes from older games (like the male Iron Knight and male Samurai from 2 and the male archer from 3, and the Kunoichi, Sorcerer and Angel Knight classes aren't DLC), restores weapon skills, and goes back to the 9999 level cap and stats from 5. Play it, you won't regret it.
