It's phenomenal, anons saying not to play it never played the remake. They're third-worlders and poors who can't afford to play it.
You can turn off all UI elements and only rely on Jame's head that turns to look at items and points of interest, which is really neat. The remake was fantastic, not as as impactful as the original but still amazing.

Not all Remakes are Demakes, RE4 Remake and SH2:Remake were FUN. No, not nearly as impactful as the originals but they were perfectly fine.
People complaining about remakes just can't afford modern hardware to play them, SH2:Remake was gorgeous on my 4090, the fog and ray-traced puddles added to the ambience.
UI being optional and relying on James to physically turn his head and "look" at items instead of having any UI was masterfully done, but you never actually played this game, you only parroted what you read on /v/ instead. Sad.
