Neon Genesis Evangelion
After putting it off for years for no particular reason, I decided to watch Eva. Having finished it, I had a question about the infamous fanbase this show has. Why is the fanbase the way it is, constantly arguing if Shinji should hook up with either Rei or Asuka? The show itself has no major focus on romance beyond when it comes to talking about Shinji's sense of self-worth and so on. Is it something the movies introduce?
