As I’ve said before, what the constitution might or might not have meant is irrelevant, it was already a time when slavery had been abolished in other European countries, it’s futile to debate over such matters. History is as Hegel says, the realisation and improvement of human freedom. Abolishing slavery was a natural step in human development. America became the world‘s super power by the help of its racial diversity, where Europe and pretty much everywhere else lagged behind even though they had the historical inheritance of thousands of years. The point is this, that we should all stop being resentful. Racism in all of its forms, anti-black or anti-white is wrong.
