latex does not just not breathe, it is specifically worn because it doesn't breathe.
it's worse than a neoprene suit which is just tight enough to let in some water which then insulates you against the cold ocean. but latex or rubber is completely airtight and your skin will immediately sweat from the direct contact and your skin will either become irritated or you will swim in it, which can cause your skin to dissolve, blisters to form and other fun stuff.
