Awesome. You've subjected yourself to confirmation bias without any actual military training or understanding of warfare; not on the tactical, the operational or the strategic level. Neither are you aware of modern military developments or how the idea of having to go either light and dispersed (Ukraine war right now) or very heavy and very concentrated (neither side is capable of this) due to modern ISTAR and accurate fires (drones!) being a topic of discussion for more than two decades now, completely bypassing whatever argument you're trying to make.
>There still isn't a viable counter to drone warfare.
Just like there isn't a "viable counter" to artillery or air bombardments or being shot by a rifle or machine gun. It doesn't matter. People die, and the consumption of human resources and equipment to accomplish military objectives is par for the course. What matters ultimately is the leveraging of combined arms methods to achieve full spectrum supremacy. Something which neither side in the Ukraine conflict is even close to being capable of, because both countries are third world ex-soviet shitholes.
