Outside of a few "aura" "hype" cinematics, the production quality of Star Rail is abysmal, how do Asiatics like it so much?

I hope so too. But I understand that it must feel very demoralizing for the devs to put in all that effort only to receive endless bitching. I won't be surprised if they keep consolidating content even more in 6.x
