Not OP here but I want to repost from QTDDTOT since that thread is fucking useless anyway. My family are also planning to do a self drive ring road in September. Here's the map of places we plan to visit so far.
Is 9 days enough to visit all of these?
Which car rental company would you recommend? At the moment there's 4 of us
Which cities/towns would you spend your nights at? Any recommendations on accommodation?

This will be my most normie post here but my family and I are planning a trip to Iceland. We're going this January and our main goal is to see the northern lights. The rest is to woo at locations in picrel. We're set on renting a car, which brings me to the ff:

>Aside from Reykjavik, which cities/places should we stay at for the night if we are driving around the island? Hotel recs if possible
