It's not a dumb question - it's a complicated question, with multiple solutions, all of which have pros and cons. It's a laptop (which are famous for being very inflexible about their boot procedures), so it may not handle multiple EFI System partitions - so we can't guarantee a multi-ESP configuration (the hardest to break) will work for you - not to mention multiple ESPs means you want to "mirror" your BCD configuration between all the ESPs if you want dual boot to always work. It's why we're all shy to give you a hard list of steps to set this up - there are too many unknowns.
