If we are following the Mother 3 trail, I think this thing is like Pokey, and it just WANTS. It has a desire to posess things and enjoys watching what it views as its Friends. This thing has a parasocial relationship with the characters and the player. It is content to let us have our fun for now but when we seriously try to break free of its grasp or take its toys away, it will become violent.
As for how we beat it, I have no fucking idea.
