I mean, people irl right now claim to remember previous lives, the dalai lama for example.
if you lived in a world with magic and dragons and you told people in your previous life you were a rice eating loser working in a box all day, they'll probably be like "k, alright" and continue with their lives, I doubt all their world would be shattered by the fact you said you were reborn in that world or whatever.
