which to some extent I do want people to experience that sort of 4th place pain, but doing unlimited cumulative points because "that's how ranked is" feels unwise.
I'm leaning now more towards n-consecutive games, and then in your nth game you really really don't want to get a fourth, and that's where that 4th place avoidance gameplay and 4th place fear can come in.
So you'd play risky normally if you don't have a streak going, and then you'd play more conservatively if you do have a streak going, which is the same as normal, but to a greater degree due to the 4th place avoidance uma, I feel like that would be a unique and worthwhile experience.
