Right so I'm gonna write up every problem I had with 2.0 Auxilia.
>Command Tericos were disgusting. The only reason people ever took Tac Commands was to gain access to companion sections with because it was the only way to get plasma guns in the army.
>Cohort doctrines were the armies RoW and their Legion equivalent at the same time but only worked if you had a Legate Marshal which limited thematic list building since having your Warlords be a captain gave you a massive handicap.
>Cohort Doctrines varied massively in power and utility. Armoured fist cohorts in particular were quite bad, you payed through the nose for the ability to take russes as non compulsory troops which was stupid because you could already take like, 27 russes in just standard HS.
>there was never any reason to take line or Veletaris Command Sections in your tericos, generally doing that meant paying points to make your tericos worse. The Veletaris first prime was also worse at fighting than the troop master despite being an elites choice which made zero sense.
>Veletaris needed 2 attacks base to make axe sections useful, 3.0 actually fixed that which was nice.
>The Dracosan was an expensive useless plastic brick and the Aurox was a resin brick GW stopped making, meaning the army had no real transports.
>Sentinels desperately needed their own FA terico but instead the Aethon was a heavy support choice. The Veletaris Sentinel being usable in Veletaris tericos was real cool tho. Literally just modify 3.0s recon terico, 1-3 Hermes squads and 0-1 Aethon squads.
>Artillery command was also useless, their cognis signum did almost nothing.
>Artillery was mostly useless, the Basilisk and Medusa were both completely shit and overpriced bricks. The Earthshaker was a S9 AP4 gun with SHRED for 200 POINTS.
>the Strike russes were all shit except the Vanquisher which was OP.
>The assault russes were ok but the Saker was too expensive.
