>Brand loyalty
Ffs. Can't you read?
I don't have money to drop multiple hundreds of dollars for a new graphics card only to switch on os/distro that might not run games and programs I play/use. It has nothing to do with brand loyalty. I simply don't have money nor time to go through 8 different distros + learn terminal shit that only manages to get me terminal cancer at best. And no, I don't think W10 is some kind of best OS, I just tolerate it because it runs games and programs I want.
It is tiring with Linux users to explain that people may not want to hop on completely new OS that might not work for them. Or especially drop hundreds of dollars so they can even fucking run it.
I will repeat one more time so you fucking get it.
NOT ALL PEOPLE HAVE MONEY TO SWITCH THEIR HIGH-END NVIDIA CARD TO A HIGH-END AMD CARD ON THE SPOT. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BRAND LOYALTY. SOME MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN THEIR CARD FOR RELATIVELY CHEAP AT THE MOMENT.
I REPEAT.
NOT EVERYONE HAS MONEY TO CHANGE TO AMD CARD ON THE SPOT.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BRAND LOYALTY.
Did that help?
