The problem with pro quick play people is that they really can't think for themselves if it leads to different prescriptions than what an influencer gave them. Casual is a hasty implementation of something that was long overdue for the game by the time it came around. There isn't only one way to engineer such a system, and most of the things people actually complain about are basically tweaks. What I would want to see is a reworking of the core matchmaking algorithm to something better suited for tf2.

Playing vs equally skilled players is the most stressing (pic related) and the system is mostly used to help drive up player retention in a pretty shitty, addictive way, and the player retention in turn is desirable for maximizing profits (the longer people play the longer the opportunity for them to buy microtransactions) even though plenty of fun games exist that aren't played 24/7.
