Well, the Gas Passer ignites people when hit by other players too.
So you can throw it into a choke or on a point and your Heavy that's been peppering the area can set them on fire while you fuck off to do something else.
Kinda like how the Mad Milk lets you heal your team without needing a Medic.
The problem is the Gas Passer recharges so slow that it's not worth the effort.
