compression is fucked as suspected, and a used engine is pretty much the same as another bike. I suspect the bottom end is also sorta messed up based on how easy it is to clutchless down through the gears.

The danger of riding is way, way overstated among normies and even anons, as you can see here. Much like how gun violence statistics are reduced by at least half when you take out police action, suicides, and gang violence, motorcycle accidents are not nearly as bad when you take out anyone who was drinking and/or not wearing a helmet. I'm not in favor of everyone riding but you people are writing this off based on bad information.
