Hearing Sam talk about the big G got me researching religion for a while and I like the idea of a demiurge. A flawed creator.
Otherwise I can't find an explanation for why angels, divine beings, would feel jealous of God's love for mere Humans, lowly beings, and rebel against the perfection that is Him if there wasn't something nefarious going on up there.
