That's literally it, though. I don't care if fan content I'm not interested in goes off the rails, because I don't consume fan content that I'm not interested in. I hold official Hasbro-sponsored content to a higher standard because I want a good pony cartoon that has what made me like FiM in the first place, and having a world that's distinct from our own is a part of that. Pony smartphones are about as brainless of an idea as ponies using guns, and while the fandom's free to shoehorn things like that into ponies (FoE, EaW, etc), I don't want to see it coming from an official source.
