That is one of my main points. Regardless of whose fault it is and what their real motives are, we all agree that this is bad and should be stopped. We need to figure out a course of action. The ultimate goal is for a legal and reliable method to completely bypass credit cards for digital purchases. I heard on a podcast before that pretty much every other developed country has a means to purchase goods via the Internet entirely without a credit card and that we lack that in the United States. If true, we need to figure out some way to attain this into law. The issue as I see it is the majority of purchases of online content which is the enabler of entire new industries such as indie creators, are dependent on being able to make and receive payments via the Internet. An official method to do so in the biggest consumer market, the United States, should end the abuse of power by credit cards.
