I understand the complaints about the buildcrafting in PoE 2. It's kind of like the opposite of the bell curve meme, PoE 2 incentivizes builds that engage with really specific weird interactions. So the game appeals to 50 iq retards who just use what the game gives them and 500 iq geniuses that can combine like a billion niche mechanics. Anyone in the middle who is like "hey this sword scales attack damage with armor, that would be cool to use with this mace skill but I can't so that's lame"
