This panel felt like the clearest sign that the core people running Rick and Morty are too old for Adult Swim's target audience. They're writing this show in a bubble and still believe it's as hip and relevant as it was back in the 2010s. I'm pretty sure there were more people confused by that President spin-off announcement than there were people excited by it.
