It's really not clear. The only outright clear buff is the buff to j.M, that made it a strictly better button for air to air, which makes her general jump shenanigans stronger. The gauntlet has panned out to be not much, doesn't get used often and even seasoned 2B mains seem to have trouble landing the rebound hit consistently. It doesn't open up any new combo routes so far as I know. And the j.L buff is also pointless, still doesn't get used often/at all. The reduction of U SKL blocks from 3 to 2 is good but can't affect that much since you still need 50 meter too - it mainly just means that if you have 50 meter to spend you generally won't be stopped by the SKL requirement any longer.

She's still been good the whole time so I don't know, maybe some buffs just gave the players the confidence they needed to succeed? Emotional support buffs?

These changes are pretty interesting. So you get three j.Ls, maybe you could float/stall and double/triple overhead?

The bouncing gauntlet also means she has two chances to get plus frames on those enders, meaning you have even less idea of when it's safe to try to get out.
