We are, but the word habesha today is used a bit too widely, when I say Habesha I mean ethio-semetic IE Tigre, Tigrayans+Biher, Amharas etc. Everyone else aren't. Semetic has been thought to be spoken in the area since 2000 B.C so the idea that ARABS migrated into the place when they didn't even exist is a bit disingenuous. Also said "arabians" weren't really lightskinned but rather brown, look into the extinct south-arabian languages and their folks they look like southern indians lol.
The name ETHIOPIA came after the Kingdom of Aksum conquered Nubia and larped as them due to their historical significance, it's a larp. And people in the countries of Ethiopia/Eritrea that are habesha even cushites regularly call themselves "red" not black, and thinking in racial terms is a bit stupid since we're looking from a western(or at least westernized) perspective. No such thing as a 'black race'. But we are "black", sure.
