This was too early in the story and the Uchiha massacre was still too fresh, him sacrificing himself and losing his chance at revenge is OOC.
I can understand him sacrificing himself fighting Gaara so Naruto and Sakura can run away, but in Land of Waves it was weird.

I mean, the konoha kids barely talk or even know anything about each other. Not just Sasuke and Nardo but all relationships in this manga feel like that.
