I've seen a variety of different builds with different equipment. All of them are spamming enough shields to avoid getting chipped by the average fight, but still having enough DPS to destroy Hydras before they outright delete you or hannibals before they can tear you apart with their shield ignoring attacks. A lot of people have been using weapons like the mk1 missile launcher, cannon, grenade launcher, mortar, lightweight railgun, anti-armor sniper rifle, heavy machinegun. I've seen a lot of instances of skills like mobbed damage reduction, hvy weapon shield, debuff amplification, premptive suppression, melee strike, extra damage to mechanical targets, light weapon shields, emergency shields, emergency amplification. Mechs tend to be built more towards maximized DPS while tanks a bit more towards defense.
The main problem with this particular ranking map isn't that any of the enemies are especially giganigga impossible to kill. It's that the point thresholds for getting stuff like SKK's jacket or the flex fairy are ridiculously fucking high to the point where some players in the top100 on some of the other servers that still failed to achieve 1.4M for the flex fairy. The theoretical maximum score for the map is somewhere near 1.7M. People ranking right now are being fucked over by things like enemies pathing the wrong way, weak enemies worth too few points spawning, supply box nodes randomly spawning in an inconvenient spot at an inconvenient time. The kind of shit that for ages would routinely fuck over peoples' scores, but it only really mattered if you were autistically chasing top 100. Now it can seriously impact your ability to get the flex fairy.
