The thing is, anyone who is interested in making a Vampire story/game has a thousand reasons NOT to make it WoD and very few to tie it to the setting. If Underworld for example was an actual WoD movie then it would be utter shit, the real "Bloodlines 2" will not even be in the same IP but heavily inspired by it.
