Drones are pretty much a new variant of artillery, bombers or attack helicopters. Hard to counter and you have to resort to hiding most of the time, but it is nothing new under the sun. Real combat was never supposed to be quote unquote "fair".
>maybe a gun that shoots big nets that somehow turn the drone off or energy beam or whatever
Yea, imagine there is this thing called "shotgun". You could probably shoot down a drone with a regular rifle as well, if you had appropriate gun handling skills, but the thing is that Ukrainians and Russians getting forcefully drafted to this globohomo proxy war have never had a gun in their hands in their lives and are so ill trained that they struggle hitting a drone even at near point blank range.
