>>81675125That makes a lot of sense. My proposed print all government spending will be met with a lot of resistance because whenever problems arise there is a clear enemy to blame for it. The government overprinting. The only solution is the scaling back the printing.
>>81675138Few are as wise as you, even in my field of nursing. I'm icu and would like to do anesthesia. It takes a lot of cognitive dissonance to be effective in my role, but I view patients as subhumans and the reason I make as much as I do with relatively easy job that pays decent. What bothers me is coworkers take drugs. One nurse let her husband take statins. So either she hates him or somehow supports the medicine industry despite working in it and having some level of understanding.
>>81675157I'm not sure I understand. I propose a 0% tax rate. Poors keep 100% of their money. Rich pay 0% taxes, and keep 100% of their money. Both groups are better off for this change.
The rich might be able to weather inflation easier than the poor, but the reverse is true. I have $100, you have $1,000. Taxes in form of money printing hits. Prices double. As a rich person spends more money the purchasing power lost is greater. The - 50% blow I took is valued at $50 pre-printing. The hit you take is 10 times higher than what I took. My system is more fair and equitable. Assuming both of us are living within our means, our spending habits are equally impacted. You cancel one of your country club memberships. I stop buying 2lb packs of meat and instead buy 20lb packs. We both respond with something that inconveniences us. But I still have the same quality of life, I just have to spend more time on food preparation. You have one less country club, and there's no way of recovery possible.
This is not an outcome I consider ideal, but as someone with a networth mid-high 6 figures I chose to be selfish. Anyone can become rich with work if they want. No income taxes, social security, or capital gains or property taxes.
