I mean, Nahida is the exact same thing. She's niche to dendro teams exclusively, and even nowadays the only niche she's optimal in is Quicken now that Lauma has her beat in Bloom and Emilie has her beat tenfold in Burning.

A fact not many people are ready to accept is that archon tiers have always been niche and restricted to teams made in the year they were released. Venti was the go-to character for any team up until Kazuha released almost a year afterwards, then Raiden as the go-to DPS until Dendromemes, then Nahida for Dendromemes up until Furina, as the go-to hydro off fielder support for any hydro teams and blah blah and so on.
Notice how all the lunar teams and magus teams either don't need off field pyro, or don't benefit from damage bonuses? The two things Mavuika is good at?
