You may as well just get something like this and use Skype or WhatsApp or something to call people if you need to. I haven't looked into this literally at all, butt I know a lot of computers have the functionality to run your SIM Card and act as a phone even if it would be impractical so I'm sure you could find something portable that would work. Only downside is no camera but for all the benefits it would bring it would be worth it just to invest in a separate digital camera if you really needed one and/or find one with a decent built in camera/mod your own onto it.
