All life in existence is mostly likely going to be absorbed by the Retsnom. Still a pretty horror-y ending even if they don’t show it, there’s no stopping a non suicidal Retsnom plus she’s in love and obsessed with someone.

I am curious if the people she makes out of herself have the ability to absorb people too, or only the original Retsnom host/shape. Guessing not cause then why bother fighting the enemies at the end if the could all just walk into them

My interpretation was that she wanted to see if he would be willing to be absorbed and if not then she’d do the tear thing. Just unfortunate he jumps to killing her immediately instead of trying to talk things out with her more
