Correct. Also typically it is tied into the vehicles sensors some how. Many modern systems are built around being modular so for instance you can use the same display for a AA missile, remote weapon station or ATGM. Pic related, it is hard to see but the nitrogen canisters have been replaced with injection cylinders and there is a feed line going into them.
There is an advantage to the 'all in one basket' approach since in theory you can tie all the sensors into each other, so pic related should be able to use the sensors from the various systems together. In this case the thermal sight above the AA launcher that replaces the one on the handheld launcher should be useable by the gunner and commander as well as the one for the ATGMs.
Obviously they MUST be tied together otherwise there would be no room to fit 4-5 sensor displays and targeting systems inside the turret not to mention being really expensive both in money and power consumption.
