The irony is that he always aims so far up his own ass that the resulting games are more than decent, it's just that gamers keep buying into his song and dance every time. If one doesn't buy into the hype and just play his games for what they are they are very enjoyable, and I can't really use that phrase for a lot of other games this day and age. I will settle for enjoyable.
