I use these for character/item art in my (heavily) homebrewed pf2e campaign based in a Albion. Though it's expanded upon and with some changes (such as Avo and Skorm actually being gods) and I'm using events of all 3 games (from jack/the court returning to Albion civil war) as various big plots, with their characters aging from teens to middle aged over the campaign's events. One of the party members will be the creator of the first gun and the knowledge will be taken and slowly spread over the land as things progress.

I mean, Logan's actual problem was keeping what he knew to himself. He wasn't subjugating the people for no reason, he knew the darkness was coming and was doing his best to prepare for it but believed telling everyone an evil demon invasion was OTW would incite panic and mass unrest.

You can earn more than enough money by keeping rent relatively low. On my first playthrough I didn't know you needed 6 gorillian gold but I had it anyways because I knew from fable 2 to just buy every property and snowball. Was able to make every single good decision with no issue

By far the biggest problem in the fable series is just how bland the choices are. It's literally a for le good x for le ebil and each choice is comically so. Heck, in fable 1 you had to eat baby chickens raw like gollum to get the evil bow. Theres no nuance in any choice, there are no choices that are complicated and make you think about actual consequence, etc. Which I guess is fine if they're going for something simple and binary like a fairytale, but it makes for a game that isn't all that intresting to play more than maybe twice

Reaver came into his own in Fable 3 with an iconic look. Fable 2 had the Maze rip off hero of Will and that was kinda it.
Briar Rose is still hot AF and sadly has one of the more interesting boss fights in the game (evil gets the best content).

So far he's only shown up twice. He was the one who took one of the PC's to the guild to be trained, and I have him give that expectant energy he gives to whisper to that player as well. When they did a little sparring thing he was much more judgemental of them than the other 4.
Then he was at their graduation and gave that player a little speech.

Atm his infatuation with lady grey is just starting and got mentioned to them as a rumour. They're still very early on though, twinblade is their first big arc and the campaign will have 5 or 6 of this (and it's taken like 30 sessions to get to the point where Twinblade is about to be fought lol)

I took the morality system from the games and for my ttrpg world I have it so your deeds instead can influence your bloodline, so if your great grandad massacred a village you may come out with horns or devil features. Really my game is about 50/50 fable/homebrew ideas as even really digging into the lore there's not that much to work with for a multi-year campaign. Especially when you get to the point of like locations or number of creatures fable has to use as enemies. Usually I post this stuff on /tg/ but fable thread. But that's probably it from me

The first multi-year game I ran was based in runescape using 5e and a fuck ton of homebrew. The nostalgia of the setting got players in and they liked the frequent item-tier climbing as we went.

But for Fable it has taken a good bit more effort to do because almost none of them have played fable and those that did weren't like raving fans of it. Really the deciding factor was they saw how much I was making for it and I gave them a steady but not overwhelming about the various aspects of the world that interested them most. Took a lot more talking to each player one on one to explain the sort of world it was, what was possible etc but eventually they took to it. The idea of actually "growing up" over a campaign from a teen to at least middle age by the end is something none of us have really done before and they were pretty into that. The setting having a canon guild that gives quests also helps of course because I was able to like make an actual quest board for them where they can vote together about what missions to do.

I realize now that the Witch King//Black Rider character design concept is basically the peak of villain design aesthetics.

Yea, Jack is always one step ahead of you, partially because you aren't even aware of the game being played. He destroys your relationships, Maze goes from a mentor to an old coward you put down, Jack goads you kill the rest of the heroes to finally have revenge on him, even if you kill him, he can still possess you at the end. You never really know what's true because everyone except you has more information and they won't share.

The Noble is kind of the opposite, the real Villain is Theresa who manipulates you and him both, getting your sister killed and you shot, then grooms you as part of her plan to steal the Tower from him.

The Darkness is just a force of evil for evilness. Logan at least makes you choose between your childhood friend and some randos right at the start, he's your own brother and has a reason for doing what he does, when you other throw him you end up in the same position as him, doing the same things, and you can choose to punish him for the mob or recognize he was right.
But yea, Logan isn't the villain, the darkness is, so the story more or less dies after you become king. All momentum is gone.

I can't stand to replay 2 because it's all the worst parts of 3 mixed with the worst changes from 1 into the most mind numbingly boring story of the entire franchise. At least the 3rd does a good job of setting up the story as royalty and having fun with the concepts. 2 has the worst missions of any fable game and also the biggest open world. The side quests are much worse than 1 and later were refined into 3 which was not the best but still a hell of a lot better than 2 ever was

I hate how this series got less and less magical. The third game had fucking wolves and bats as main enemies and they removed beetles and trolls, they were a staple series enemy, I still remember the kraken and giant scorpion bosses. Also they got rid of the Heroes Guild too soon, the burning should have been something experienced instead of being off screen, a proper build off to Fable 3 but they chose to recycle the industrial revolution shit.

I remembered it being this big expansive RPG, but in an afternoon I was already at the spire. This. Even if your character was literally the chosen one, so much of the charm of the first game was that you had heroes everywhere going around doing their own thing (even if, in gameplay, you never actually see them outside of the guild or the occasional named hero in quests)
Having you be the only hero besides a singular hero of strength, skill or will (who were all largely boring even Reaver) just sucked so much out of the story. Fable 2 is so boring even if the gameplay and NPC interactions were still good.

It's worse than 1 but it is a decent game and has a lot of charm of its own. Admittedly though, despite having played through TLC at least twenty different times, I've only played through 2 once. I brought back my family after Lucien killed them but the game glitched and they never returned, killed my interest and the game never came to PC so never bothered emulating or playing it again on 360.
Serenity Farm was an extremely nice home though when my family still lived there

If memory serves right the two early quests you can't take was meant to imply that other heroes were taking on these quests, but you never see that shit again.
