I used to rent 1-2 bedrooms in Richmond for $750 a month, spacious with washer and dryer. At the time I thought it was hell because low income, I had no idea how bad things were going to get.

I don't know if we should be flaunting our GDP right now. Our market is propped up by everyone dumping money into mag 7 in the hopes of eliminating even more jobs. Our college educated under 30 are unemployeed sitting at their parents home occasionally eating propaganda; they will be fascists or socialists or whatever flavor of radical want to be revolutionary because they have no reason to live except to service debt and if lucky enough to wage keep SS solvent for 30 more seconds. The middle class is gone, I and two other working age adults all making at or near six figures pool resources to cover one mortgage and an extremely modest life style. I hate my life but the fighting age males marginallyyounger than me don't even have access to this. Outside of some nepotism I engage in personally I don't know how many of my peers are actually getting on at all. Homelessness is up, auto repos are on par with GFC. We have all this land and use it to fuck over our own kind and eventually ourselves. The sooner it takes a shit the better, we can bounce back because of our mass but nothing about our current state is exemplary or sustainable. 80% of the population injected a terminator gene into their blood and this is being slow walked in media. Even now the marginally higher rates are actually causing housing principal to fall and be more affordable and the current Admin is fighting tooth and nail to make line go up mostly because we can no longer ignore our debt and cannot afford a market crash with society breaking. Our GDP includes making and "selling" bombs to turn Palestinian rubble into smaller rubble. None of it is real outside of data centers sucking the country dry, fyi there isn't enough power for current load much less projected.
