The original question was if hohols promised us anything.
>I don't remember Ukraine ever promising you anything
And yes they did. The declaration of independence is their promise not only to Russia, but to international community. They promised to be good boys and to remain neutral. The whole security architecture of the region was built upon this basis. They broke their promise and not suffering for that.
And here's an example how other countries respect this memorandum. USA can wipe their ass with it with no second thought and no one gives a fuck.

>2014 - Russia ignores Budapest Memorandum and invades Ukraine

This is such a dumb shill point, ukraine didn't have the means to fire them to begin with, let alone the means to maintain them.
ukraine wasn't forced to give up "their" nukes, they were told:
>ukraine either return them or they won't be able to interact with the international community.
Their choices were either submit or go North Korea mode over weapons they have no ability to use. Not even a real choice.

>Budapest memorandum
Non-binding.
>tried to poison the opposition in 2005
Why did Yushenko refused to give his blood sample to neutral medical laboratory?

Now, after the documents about Obama and Hillary forging evidence about "russian collusion" are out, we know that WESTKEKS ALWAYS LIE. Always. They always lie and always blame Russia for their own failures.

>People often seem to misstate the Budapest Memorandum as though we are obligated to give ukraine anything to fight Russia.
>The buda memo was about securing the Russian nukes that ukraine had after the breakdown of the USSR. It was also a violation for the US to do a coup in ukraine and select government officials.

>ukraine either return them or they won't be able to interact with the international community.
Their choices were either submit or go North Korea mode over weapons they have no ability to use. Not even a real choice. everyone knew they would eventually attempt to sell the nukes to some 3rd party
