I want to pick up a nice new monitor to go along with my new 1440p build and im leaning into the Miniled LCD direction.
Question is: Xiaomi G Pro 27i IPS miniled or AOC Q27G3XMN VA miniled?
On paper the Xiaomi is much better with roughly 3x backlight dimming zones compared to AOC and IPS display shouldnt have VRR flicker issues like VA in AOC.
In reality though, Xiaomi is known to have QC issues, I guess AOC is more reputable brand when it comes to monitors. I researched the web about the "red tint" issue with Xiaomi and its seems to be a nothing burger where if you stick to native colour spectrum its completely fine for gaming and content watching.
Also with europeland pricing, AOC is 330€, Xiaomi is around 280. Both have shitty stands so add another 20-30 bucks for a VESA arm.
Wildcard- screw minileds and just bite the bullet and get a cheap OLED like AOC AGON AG276QZD2 for around 500€. Buy once cry once kind of solution. Also bear in mind that KTC minileds are unavailable in EU so its either AOC VA or Xiaomi IPS.
