I say something along the lines of "Hey bro it's ok. If you're having a bad day we can talk about it in private. I'll friend you after the match and invite you to my discord server. There's already 4 of us in VC but you already seem comfortable enough yelling at a bunch of strangers so why not join us and come have a chat? Who knows you might make a few new friends."
Then I extend the same offer to anyone in the lobby and post my discord link. I've made a few friends this way but they don't play anything but the one game I met them in.
